Information For Authors

Interested in submitting to this journal? We recommend that you review the About the Journal page for the journal's section policies, as well as the Author Guidelines. Authors need to register with the journal prior to submitting or, if already registered, can simply log in and begin the five-step process. Before submission, please check our article structure requirements.

1. Manuscript Submission

We invite original, previously unpublished research papers, reviews, surveys, experimental papers, case studies, action research, and observation studies on both applied and theoretical aspects. Manuscripts should be written in English.

Papers should be formatted into A4-size (8.27″ x 11.69″) pages, with the main text of 12-point Times New Roman, in a single-spaced one-column format. Figures and tables must be sized as they are to appear in print. Figures should be placed exactly where they are to appear within the text. Authors are strongly advised to follow the format of the final version at this stage.

Authors may suggest 2-4 reviewers when submitting their works by providing us with the reviewers’ title, full name, and contact information. The editor will decide whether the recommendations will be used or not.

Submission implies that the manuscript has not been published previously and is not currently submitted for publication elsewhere. The submission also implies that the corresponding author has the consent of all authors and that all authors have significantly contributed to the research. Upon acceptance for publication, copyright transfer will be made to Academy Publication; article submission implies author agreement with this policy.

All authors are obliged to provide retractions or corrections of mistakes.

2. Plagiarism Detection

Crosscheck, powered by iThenticate, is adopted to prevent scholarly or professional plagiarism. Authors do not need to pay for this procedure. The plagiarism detection fee is included in the publication fee.

3. Article Processing Charges

Articles submitted to JLT are peer-reviewed and contain all necessary elements of an academic journal article.

JLT is implementing article processing charges (APCs) for all papers that are accepted for publication in our journal. The APC for each article will be US$430/CNY2,950.

Please note that the APCs will only be applied once the article is accepted for publication, and authors will not be charged during the review process.

Upon publication, the authors will obtain:

  • Unlimited free access to the article for everyone forever.
  • Professional layout and production.
  • Thorough copy editing and proofreading by expert staff.
  • A unique DOI.
  • Plagiarism checks to ensure academic integrity.
  • Registration with CrossRef for broad access and visibility.
  • Archiving with LOCKSS for permanent preservation of content.

4. Review Process

Submissions should neither be submitted to nor published in another publication. Concurrent submission to other publications will result in immediate rejection of the submission.

Authors are obliged to participate in the peer-review process. All manuscripts will be subject to a well-established, fair, unbiased peer review and refereeing procedure and are considered based on their significance, novelty, and usefulness to the Journal's readership. The reviewing structure will always ensure the anonymity of the referees. The review output will be one of the following decisions:

  • Accept with no revision required
  • Minor revision required
  • Major revision required
  • Resubmit
  • Reject

The review process may take approximately one month to be completed. Should the editor request that the authors revise the text, the revised version should be submitted within four weeks for a major revision or two weeks for a minor revision. Authors who need more time are kindly requested to contact the Editor. The Editor reserves the right to reject a paper if it does not meet the aims and scope of the journal, if it is not technically sound, if it is not revised satisfactorily, or if it is inadequate in presentation.
